Direct Pay Practices, Direct Medical Practices or Concierge Practices are a new way to get Medical Care. This new type of practice does not use or bill insurance, there is a monthly fee paid by you directly to the Practice or Doctor for all of your Primary Medical Care. There are no additional co-pays or charges involved to see your doctor. This type of practice provides all of your primary care and strongly suggests carrying Catastrophic or Major Medical Insurance coverage for services provided outside the scope of the practice.
This model allows for more time spent with patients to improve overall health and does not limit the number of doctor visits. So if you are an Individual, Senior or Family, you might see this as a refreshing and affordable change to Primary Care as you know it. Direct Medical practices can also be used by employers when combined with high deductible plans. And if you have a Health Savings Account or other type of Cafeteria or Section 125 plan you may be able to use funds for a Direct Medical Practice.
The cost for participating in a Direct Medical Practice averages $800/year/adult. Rates are age dependent with children costing less. Please see the brochure or request a specific quote.
